DESTINATIONS I LOVE 11: ISTANBUL

Hello sweeties,

Today, I want to talk about a "Magical City". A city where past and present live in perfect harmony. 

From "Byzantium" to "Constantinople" to its current name "Istanbul", this city between Europe and Asia has seen mixed of art and culture like no other.

I've been there only once, but really hoping to return soon to this city that stole my heart. Its mosques, palaces, markets and streets are breath taking

I have always love to talk to my students about the "Hagia Sophia Mosque", it was a real pleasure  when I taught art in high school, because I think this is one of the most amazing cathedral/mosque in the whole World, so when I finally visited this stunning building I almost fainted at the entrance.

Other amazing places to visit in fabulous Istanbul are: The Blue Mosque (Sultan Ahmed Mosque) The Topkapi Palace, The Dolmabahçe Palace, The Galata Tower, The Grand Bazaar (Kapalıçarşı) and The Spice Bazaar (Mısır Çarşısı). And very Important, you can not leave town without taking a boat to admire the sunset over the city from the Bosphorus, this will take your breath away

I am sure you will love Istanbul.
